Container gantry crane (abbreviated as quay crane) is the main equipment for loading and unloading containers between container ships and the terminal front. The loading and unloading capacity and speed of the quay crane directly determine the productivity of terminal operations, therefore the quay crane is the main equipment for container handling in ports. Quay cranes are continuously being upgraded along with the vigorous development of large-scale container transport ships and technological progress, with increasingly higher technological content, and are developing towards large-scale, high-speed, automation and intelligence, as well as high reliability, long service life, low energy consumption and environmental protection.
